Nokshi Kotha | Communal Embroidery Workshop Sunday 12th October

Founded in 2022, the Nokshi Kotha Embroidery Workshop seeks to bring community together, rooted in healing and joy, through communal Bengali embroidery called “Nokshi Kantha” (embroidered quilt). This embroidery technique is practised amongst groups of Bengali women where they embroider their stories on one piece of fabric. This is a fading tradition as fast fashion takes over and slow textile traditions stop being practised.
